Our General Purpose Statement is as follows:
Our purpose as the media team is to function as a loudspeaker for the Occupy Vancouver movement. Our modus operandi is to transparently produce and distribute print, audio and video media relevant to the interests of our peaceful, non-violent protest. We will document the movement and communicate it on a global scale. Emphasis is placed on the idea that only the General Assembly can speak on behalf of the movement, although we are free and indeed encouraged to communicate our own personal ideas and beliefs. Our ultimate goal is the education of the public with precise, fair and powerful information. Together, we will bring the message from the front lines of the occupation to the minds and consciousness of our society and fellow citizens.
